Mali Cirnik pri Šentjanžu : ウィキペディア英語版 | Mali Cirnik pri Šentjanžu
Mali Cirnik pri Šentjanžu ((ドイツ語:Kleinzirnik))〔(''Leksikon občin kraljestev in dežel zastopanih v državnem zboru,'' vol. 6: ''Kranjsko''. 1906. Vienna: C. Kr. Dvorna in Državna Tiskarna. ) 〕 is a village in the Municipality of Šentrupert in southeastern Slovenia. It lies in the hills east of Šentrupert just off the road towards Šentjanž in the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia statistical region.〔(Šentrupert municipal site )〕 The settlement includes the hamlets of Stražberk (in older sources also ''Stražberg'', (ドイツ語:Straßberg)),〔 Vrhe, and Selo.〔Savnik, Roman, ed. 1976. ''Krajevni leksikon Slovenije'', vol. 3. Ljubljana: Državna založba Slovenije. p. 266.〕 ==Name== The name of the settlement was changed from ''Mali Cirnik'' to ''Mali Cirnik pri Šentjanžu'' in 1955.〔''Spremembe naselij 1948–95''. 1996. Database. Ljubljana: Geografski inštitut ZRC SAZU, DZS.〕 The name ''Mali Cirnik pri Šentjanžu'' literally means 'little Cirnik near Šentjanž', distinguishing the village from neighboring Veliki Cirnik (literally, 'big Cirnik'). The name ''Cirnik'' is derived from the Slovene common noun ''cer'' 'Turkey oak', thus referring to the local vegetation.〔Snoj, Marko. 2009. ''Etimološki slovar slovenskih zemljepisnih imen''. Ljubljana: Modrijan and Založba ZRC, pp. 89–90.〕 In the 19th century the German name was ''Kleinzirnik''.〔
